This little adventurous girl, sneaks out of her house and goes on a journey, while on this journey she discovers a box, and in this box was this little robot. She activated him without knowing it and the robot became "alive", he struggled to walk, so I assume it was his first time being turned on. At first the little girl was scared of the robot, but she helped him stand up, and then taught him how to walk. In the next scene they show us the boxes being unloaded into a warehouse, and each was scanned, and the computer noticed that the little robot the girl found was the one that was missing. Next there was a system that went out to catch this little robot who was missing. The next chapter we see the girl and the robot walking down the street and the robot encounters a cat and gets scared of the cat, because its never seen one. The little girl is excited to show him around, and they saw flowers and many different things. When the girl had to leave she put the robot in a car and told him to stay, all while the robot hunter was coming to find him. When she went to find him the next day, he wasn't where she left him and then found him being attacked by some cats. They went on a journey and she was showing him different things, and played games with him. While they were out playing the robot hunter was getting closer and closer to finding him. One day when they were out discovering new things they came across and old car, and the robot wanted to play with it instead of her and the little girl got upset. When all of a sudden the robot hunter was about to prance on the robot, and the little girl saved him and they took off running, and the robot hunter was right on their trail. When the robot wanted to leave to find others like him, the little girl trapped him in a car and was going to come back him for the next day, but the robot hunter got to him first. The little girl knew how the robot was feeling about being the only one of his kind and she had built some of her own, hoping it would make him feel better, but it didn't. The robot hunter catches the robot and takes him back to the factory, and the little girl went to go find her new friend. She was armed with only a wrench and took on the bad robot hunter to get her friend back. When she got captured, she used her wrench to unbolt their hands and get herself free, she then used the bad robots' hand as an ally and used it to help her get her friend back. The little girl was determined not to leave her friend when his foot got caught in a fence. The robots she had built earlier come to life and help her take down the robot hunter, and they did and she was able to fix her robot friends' leg. They turned the big bad robot hunter into a good robot, and they all had a party and everyone had a dance party.

This book is a picture storybook, therefore the pictures told this story, it had few words, but they were only when someone said something. I think this book would best suit students in 1st-4th grade. It's great for students on different levels of reading, because they're only interpreting the pictures, since they tell the story. I probably would use this book on a lesson about friendship, although students wouldn't be read this story, but if they all checked it out from the library then it would be a whole class lesson. We would take about how the little girl was determined to save her friend, from the bad robots. Also we would talk about how he may have made her upset, she still tried to be there for him, and how they changed the "heart" of the big bad robot and made him one of their friends.
- Peace. Love. Giraffes.
